I recently had the pleasure of dining at Firewood Restaurant in Penang, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. One of the highlights of my dining experience at Firewood was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food itself, I was blown away by the quality and flavours. The ingredients used were fresh and of the highest quality, resulting in dishes that were bursting with taste. The duck leg was also very delicious but the sauce was slightly on the sweet side. And finally, the Jamaican Jerk chicken was fantastic. The mango salsa dressing was not as sweet as I thought. The chicken was cooked to perfection.
We were so full that we did not have any room to try the desserts.
On a previous visit, I also tried the Wagyu beef which was great but it had quite a bit of fat. I also had the Grilled Duck breast which is one of the best I have tasted so far.
In addition to the fantastic food and service, Firewood Restaurant also offers a well-curated drinks menu. The bar serves an impressive array of cocktails, wines, and spirits that complement the dining experience perfectly. The bartenders are skilled in their craft and can whip up a drink tailored to your preferences.
